Community Grants

Community Events Fund (includes Christmas Switch On Events)

Purpose:

For local small scale community festivals or events.

Eligible Applicants:

Groups/projects must:

  • Be a community or voluntary organisation (not for personal profit)
  • Have 90% of beneficiaries in Council area

Event Funding Covers:

Eligible costs include: venue hire, equipment, printing costs, materials, insurance, programme facilitator, toilets, road closure costs.

  • £750 for 1day
  • £1,000 for 2 days
  • £1,250 for 3 or more days

Christmas Tree Switch On Funding Covers:

Eligible costs include: living Christmas trees, sweets and selection boxes.

  • Population under 1,000: £500
  • Population 1,000 – 4,000: £750
  • Population over 4,000: £1,000

OPENS: Monday 17 August 2026 at 9.00am.

CLOSES: Friday 11 September 2026 at 12noon.

For funding assistance, groups are welcome to attend an information session (6.30pm – 7.00pm) and drop-in session (7.00pm – 9.00pm):

  • Hayloft, Palace Stables, Armagh – Tuesday 18 August
  • Brownlow Community Hub, Craigavon – Wednesday 19 August
  • Banbridge Town Hall – Thursday 20 August
  • Online information session – Wednesday 19 August at 3.00pm

  1. Each grant has guidance notes, please ensure you read this fully.
  2. The Applicant Manual (Revenue Grants) provides detailed tips and guidance on completing your application.
  3. Use the online Funding Hub Portal to complete your application online using the APPLY NOW button
  4. Submit by Deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.
