Call Out: Tannaghmore Bird Fair 2023, Saturday 26th August, Tannaghmore Gardens

The Food Heartland is delighted to be able to help support local food and drink producers, and foodie experience providers showcase and sell their produce at the Tannaghmore Bird Fair 2023.

What’s on offer?

  • Space for up to 6 small businesses (employing five people or less) to attend the event on Saturday 26th August 2023.
  • Dedicated area for each business including counter space, one six-foot table and branding as part of the wider Food Heartland brand
  • The opportunity to sample, showcase and sell your products. Please note on this occasion we are unable to facilitate hot food vendors or the sale of Alcohol at this event.
  • The opportunity to engage customers, and expand business presence in the local market
  • Inclusion in pre-show publicity.

Criteria

To participate as part of the Food Heartland Showcase your business must:

  • be a micro or small food and drink producer / foodie experience provider based in the borough
  • have a hygiene rating of five
  • produce the product(s) in N. Ireland, using local ingredients where available
  • showcase high quality N. Ireland food and drink produce
  • source, use and promote Northern Ireland ingredients
  • have an annual turnover of no more than £150,000, and must
  • have a maximum of five employees.

How to register?

To register your interest, please email by 12noon on Friday 11th August 2023 with the following information:

  • contact name (email address and mobile number)
  • business name and address
  • evidence of public liability insurance (£5 million minimum)
  • a copy of your risk assessment
  • a copy of your food hygiene rating
  • a list of products you will be showcasing / selling
  • social media handles (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • High resolution business logo (300 dpi minimum).
  • 4 x high resolution images of your products
  • A description of what your business is about

Please note: 

  • Space is limited to 6 businesses.
  • The selection of businesses will be carried out in collaboration with the event organisers. A panel will assess each of the applications received based on the receipt of all documents, quality of the products on offer and overall balance of products represented by Food Heartland members at each Show.
  • Refrigeration and Electric are not available; diesel only silenced generators must be used at trade stands. Service record must be available for inspection. All businesses must be self-sufficient with the storage of products in line with Environmental Health guidelines.
  • Wifi will not be available at the event.
  • This initiative is funded by council and will cover the cost of the stand only and 1 x ticket per each stallholder.

Call Out: World Sheep Dog Trials, Saturday 13-16 September 2023, Gill Hall Estate, Dromore

The Food Heartland will support local food and drink producers and foodie experience providers who are interested in showcasing and selling their produce at the World Sheep Dog Trials.

This major international event will be hosted at the Gill Hall Estate in Dromore on 13-16 September. It is expected to attract 50,000 spectators from around the world, with 240 competitors from over 30 countries vying to be crowned World Champion on 16 September.

What’s on offer?

  • Space for up to 4 SME businesses to attend each day of the event.
  • Dedicated area for each business including counter space, one six-foot table and Food Heartland branded displays.
  • Opportunity to showcase, sell and provide samples of your products. Please note that we are unable to facilitate the sale of alcohol and hot food and drink vendors at this event.
  • Opportunity to engage customers and expand business presence in the local market.
  • Inclusion in pre-show publicity.

Criteria

To participate as part of the Food Heartland showcase, your business must:

  • be a food and drink producer or foodie experience provider based in the borough.
  • have a hygiene rating of five.
  • producers are not permitted to sell any hot food or hot drink beverages.
  • produce the product(s) in NI using local ingredients where available.
  • showcase high quality NI food and drink produce.
  • source, use and promote NI ingredients.
  • producers must be able to attend a full day (8am-5pm).
  • If the spaces available are not filled, local traders who are not Food Heartland producers may be given an opportunity to attend.
