There’s often a huge gap between discovering a need and creating a solution to deliver clinical impact. This programme is designed to address that gap by matching Healthcare Professionals who have ideas for data-driven products and services to software developers and vice versa, and to offer additional grant funding support to help progress data-driven health and care solutions.
The Data Innovation Hub
The Data Innovation Hub (DIH) has been established utilising funding under the UK Community Renewal Fund delivered by the secretary of state for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
The Hub is a partnership between a specialist healthcare software development company and local councils in Armagh, Banbridge, & Craigavon and Newry & Mourne, with support from the HSC Innovations, The Medicines Optimisation Innovation Centre (MOIC), Southern Health and Social Services Trust and Southern Regional College.
The Data Innovation Hub provides a dedicated digital innovation facility to deliver a tried and tested service for the development of new products and services for use within healthcare.
Clinicians and researchers can work in partnership with our team of software engineers and data specialists to turn your ideas into reality. Our programme offers access to facilities, expertise, and cash funding, including:
- Desk space in Bleary Innovation Hub;
- Data Innovation Hub co-design workshop;
- Industry mentoring;
- Education & skills development; and
- Up to £15K of Project Funding to support the project including buying out clinical time to work on the project or purchase software or equipment.
