Last year, the LMP (Labour Market Partnerships) programme supported over 150 people into employment. It provides training and development for people who are looking to increase their potential and find the job or career direction they’ve always wanted.

Are you interested in a job as a general operative with a local manufacturing business? Or perhaps you would like to gain some accreditations in order to succeed in an engineering career?
We have partnered with Global Education NI to offer industry specific training alongside mentoring and job matching for those interested in a career in this area.
This Rapid Response programme offers training courses such as:
- Manual Handling
- Health and Safety
- Food Hygiene
You can also gain your CSR card or Forklift Licence.
The programme is designed to help you fill any gaps in your training and offer you a guaranteed job interview with a local company.

The Disability Employment Programme supports individuals who have a disability, and are either unemployed, underemployed or at risk of redundancy. The delivery partner for this programme is Stepping Stones and they are offering accredited training, one to one mentoring, work placements and job matching to support people with disabilities to gain employment.
A programme tailored to women who would like to get back into employment after taking a career break. The training provided is person centred and will help participants find out what direction they would like take their career in. It is also flexible to work around family and caring responsibilities. Female Focus is being delivered by People 1st who will provide mentoring, training, support and accreditation or qualifications if needed.

Have you always wanted to work with young children?
Delivered by People 1st, this training and employment programme has two strands – Classroom Assistant Training and Childcare Training. Both strands involve training and support to begin your career journey in this area, with a guaranteed job interview at the end of the process. This programme has a built-in progression plan for participants with an option of further support into an apprenticeship scheme.
An upskilling Employment programme to help migrant workers move into higher paid roles, delivered by People 1st. The programme will include 10 weeks ESOL and employability training as well as mentoring and job matching.
After applying for this programme, each participant will have an initial assessment so that differing levels of English language can be split into separate classes. ESOL will be tailored to specific vocations to give practical language for the workplace.

Have you thought about working in a pharmacy but didn’t know what accredited training or experience you might need?
This programme is delivered by the Southern Regional College and involves a three-week introductory course in pharmacy dispensary. Participants will also benefit from job matching to work within the pharmacy dispensary industry.
This programme’s intake is currently closed.
LMP have partnered with Young Enterprise NI to deliver employability and skills training to young people over the age of 16. The programme works directly with local schools and colleges to offer interactive sessions including the ‘Entrepreneurial Masterclass’ and ‘You’re Hired’ events.
