
The Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Stephen Moutray is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Lord Mayor’s Ulster‑Scots Arts Bursary.
The scheme will offer financial support to residents seeking to promote, develop and sustain Ulster‑Scots cultural expression across the borough of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
Open to local constituted organisations, primary and post‑primary schools, and not‑for‑profit community or voluntary groups, the scheme will award four £250 bursaries to support cultural activities and learning opportunities in Ulster‑Scots dance, drama, music and speech, helping to deepen understanding and encourage wider engagement with Ulster‑Scots traditions.
Launching the scheme, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Stephen Moutray said:
“The Lord Mayor’s Ulster‑Scots Arts Bursary is designed to support understanding and engagement with Ulster-Scots heritage across our borough. I am pleased to invite applications from local organisations, schools and community or voluntary groups who are working to promote Ulster‑Scots dance, drama, music and speech, and to encourage learning opportunities that help sustain this important cultural tradition.”
Funded by the office of the Lord Mayor, this scheme is now open for applications and will close on Friday 15 May, 5pm.
