Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council representatives attended Balmoral Show on Friday 15 May to show support for agri‑businesses from across the borough. During the visit, representatives engaged with local producers, connected with visitors and networked with key stakeholders from throughout the agri‑food industry. Their presence highlighted the borough’s continued commitment to supporting innovation, sustainability and growth within the agri‑food sector and our Food Heartland producers.
Throughout the day, representatives met with a range of stakeholders strengthening relationships and reinforcing collaborative working that continues to underpin the success of the local agricultural economy.
Speaking after the event, Lord Mayor, Alderman Stephen Moutray commented:
“Agri‑business is at the heart of our borough’s economy and plays a vital role in supporting jobs, families and rural communities. It’s important that we continue to support and champion our local farmers and producers, whose resilience and dedication contribute not only to our economy, but to the quality and reputation of our food sector. Events such as Balmoral Show provide a valuable platform to celebrate this work and to strengthen connections across the industry.”
The Balmoral Show is one of Northern Ireland’s most important platforms for celebrating the quality, talent and resilience of the agri‑food industry, and our Food Heartland producers were pleased to be part of an event that showcases the strength of the sector on a national stage.
