Get ready for an afternoon packed with excitement as Emergency Responders Day lands at Gosford Forest Park on Saturday 19 September, bringing police vehicles, fire engines, rescue demonstrations and plenty of family fun.
Running from 12pm to 4pm, this free event will give visitors the chance to get up close to the people, vehicles and equipment that help keep our communities safe every day, while enjoying an action-packed programme of entertainment for all ages!
There will be live rescue and investigative demonstrations showcasing the skills, teamwork and dedication of local emergency responders and visitors may also have the opportunity to see an emergency response helicopter at the event, subject to operational need and availability.
For anyone who’s ever wanted to climb aboard a fire engine, sit inside an ambulance or explore a police vehicle, this is your chance! There will also be arts and crafts, messy play, face painting and a petting farm, while little ones will also have the chance to meet special guests Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol!
The Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Mary O’Dowd, said: “Emergency Responders Day is going to be a fantastic event and we’re delighted to be bringing it to Gosford Forest Park for an exciting afternoon of family fun.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the emergency responders personnel who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe and to learn more about the important roles they carry out every day. We look forward to welcoming families from across the borough to this fun, educational and memorable day out.”
Admission to the event is free with an optional donation per vehicle to the Lord Mayor’s Charities – PIPS Hope and Support and Parkinson’s UK Armagh Support Group.
This initiative is supported through The Executive Office District Council Good Relations Programme and the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP).
