Food Heartland Producers Showcase Best of Local at Armagh County Agricultural Show

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Councillor Mary O’Dowd visits Armagh Show.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is celebrating the success of its Food Heartland producers who showcased the very best of local food and drink at this year’s Armagh County Agricultural Show.

The Food Heartland stand featured a selection of award-winning local producers including Long Meadow Cider, Peggys Family Farm, Apple Tree Farm, The Hemp and Honey Farm Co- Op and Richmount Health Foods.  Food Heartland members also in attendance were Jackson Roze, Simply Fruit, Marshalls Beekeeping, Rhiannon’s Cakes & Bakes, White Oats and Pinkertons Ltd.  Giving visitors the opportunity to meet the people behind the produce, sample a range of products and discover more about the food and drink offering across the borough.

The Lord Mayor and senior council representatives visited the Food Heartland stand during the show, as well as spending time engaging with a range of livestock exhibitors, local businesses and visitors. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to see first-hand the strength of the borough’s agri-food sector and its proud agricultural heritage.
