Pickleball Ireland Chair, John Fitzpatrick, presented a cheque for £1,000 to Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon, Alderman Stephen Moutray, in support of his nominated charities, Evora Hospice Care and Epilepsy Action Northern Ireland.

The donation follows the successful Ulster Open 2025 pickleball tournament, held in South Lake Leisure Centre, and marks the beginning of Pickleball Ireland’s commitment to giving back to local communities. As part of their new initiative, a portion of each player’s entry fee from provincial tournaments will be donated to a local charity in the host region.

John Fitzpatrick said, “We’re proud to be able to support such vital causes. Pickleball is about community, and this is one small way we can show appreciation for the places that host our events.”

Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray expressed his gratitude, saying, “This generous donation will make a meaningful difference to the work of my chosen charities. I want to thank Pickleball Ireland and everyone who took part in the tournament for their support.”
