Phone Applications Open for £100 Spend Local High Street voucher
Phone lines now open for High Street Voucher Scheme 0800 046 8330

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is joining forces with the Commissioner for Older People to ensure all of the Borough’s older residents are able to apply for the £100 Spend Local High Street voucher scheme.

If you don’t have access to the internet, or are unable to apply for your card online, you can now apply by contacting the telephone service on 0800 046 8330. The lines are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday until Monday 25 October 2021.

You will need the same personal details as those who applied online, including:

  • Name, address and date of birth
  • National Insurance Number
  • Contact details
  • Sex
  • Disability status
  • Driving Licence Number (optional)

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Alderman Glenn Barr said:

“Is it apt that we are promoting the phone line during Positive Ageing Month, a time when we are raising awareness of the challenges of ageing in today’s world. It is also a time to highlight the valuable contributions older people make to society and I hope older people apply for their voucher, and get out and enjoy spending it in our Borough!”

Eddie Lynch, Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland added:

“The £100 spend local card will be a significant boost to many people and it’s really important that older people do not miss out. The dedicated telephone line will be invaluable to many people, particularly those who may lack the skills or resources to apply for their voucher online, and I would encourage those who need it, to make use of it before it closes on Monday 25 October.”

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and the ABC Seniors Network are running a festival of activities and events throughout the month of October – some in-person and others online. The events are aimed at people in their senior years, as well as those over 50 who are starting to think about the steps they can take now to ensure that they live long, healthy lives. There are also events aimed at those who care for older people or who are interested in intergenerational projects.
