Matching Process

Thank you for visiting the HR ‘Job Matching’ page.

We are now ready to commence matching posts into the fourth tier of the new organisation structure i.e. Unit Managers.

It is important to remember that Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has a completely new structure and therefore the fourth tier posts are different from those that existed in the legacy councils. These ‘Unit Manager’ posts are broadly similar in responsibility level to previous Head of Service posts and the corresponding salaries reflect this.

We will be taking a staged approach to the matching process and will commence with the People Directorate. We would like to thank employees and Heads of Department for their continued patience. Management and unions will work hard to ensure that the matching process proceeds as smoothly as possible, which will permit us to move quickly from one Department to the next. This being the case we are confident that the majority of Unit Managers will be in post by the end of the summer. Further details about the timetable for the other Directorates will be placed on this site as part of a weekly update.

We will give as much notice as possible on this site as to when each Department will be matched and will be flexible where annual leave has been booked to ensure everyone will be able to fully engage with the process.

The first two Departments who will be matched are Health & Recreation and Environmental Services, we will then proceed to Environmental Health and Community Development.
