Lurgan Park was bursting with colour, music, flavour, and joy on Saturday 13 September as Culture in the Park brought around 1000 people together for a day to remember – and yes, even the sun shone!
The acts on stage performed with incredible flair and energy including The Kilted Dance Company, Dontham Indian Dancers, Ravara Pipe Band, Trim The Velvet Irish Dancers, Chinese Culture and Dance NI and Magwere – and every performance was a celebration of culture, community, and creativity.
A special shoutout to our fantastic local talent who lit up the stage this year – including Strings and Sings, St Ronan’s College pupils, the Markethill Ulster-Scots Highland Dancers, and the Co. Armagh Junior Drum Majors.
Crowds enjoyed everything from world food stalls and interactive workshops to family crafts and feel-good entertainment – and the atmosphere was buzzing!
“Culture in the Park was a wonderful chance to come together, celebrate the diversity of our community, and enjoy a great day out in beautiful Lurgan Park,” said Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray.
“From local performers to cultural showcases, there was something for everyone – and it was brilliant to see so many people join in the fun!”
A massive thank you to everyone who came along, performed, volunteered, or simply soaked up the vibes – you made it magic!
