Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is reminding shoppers that free parking is available in all Council-owned off-street car parks on Saturday 13 and Saturday 20 December.
This festive initiative is all about making Christmas shopping easier while encouraging everyone to shop local, support our town centre businesses, and enjoy the seasonal atmosphere close to home.
With over 1,500 free spaces across 15 Council-owned car parks in Armagh, Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown, there’s every reason to stay local and make the most of what our high streets have to offer.
Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Alderman Stephen Moutray, said: “Christmas is a time for community and connection. By offering free parking on the Saturdays in the run up to Christmas, we’re helping residents make the most of the festive season close to home while backing the fantastic businesses that keep our borough’s high streets thriving.”
Free parking will be available in the following Council-owned car parks:
- Armagh City: Dobbin Street Lane, Friary Road East, Linenhall Street, Lonsdale Road
- Banbridge: Bridge Street East, Commercial Road, Downshire Place, Townsend Street
- Lurgan: Castle Lane, Millennium Way
- Portadown: Magowan Buildings, Marley Street, Meadow Lane West, West Street, William Street
Signage will be in place at car park entrances to remind shoppers of the free parking dates. Please note that traffic attendants will continue to enforce all other parking regulations to ensure car parks remain safe and accessible for all users.
