Get Active ABC are getting ready to ‘Shake up Summer’ with the launch of their all new Summer Holiday Adventures programme.  This energy bursting programme is guaranteed to have something for all our young borough residents to enjoy right here on their doorstep, with loads of fun guaranteed.

Kids of all ages can get set for action packed adventures at a wide variety of summer schemes, sports days and get-up-and-go activities, with the more adventurous being able to get wet and wild with the splash-tastic watersports summer programme. There are so many things to do, and so many ways to join in the fun across a wide range of activities throughout July and August 2021.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Alderman Glenn Barr said;

“I am delighted to launch the Get Active ABC Summer programme ‘Get ready to shake up summer’, which will provide children and young adults from across the borough with a wide range of opportunities to get involved in healthy, fun and engaging activities this summer.  I am very aware that young people have suffered greatly throughout the pandemic, and it gives me great delight to see kids getting back to the activities they enjoy, and are able to meet up with and make new friends, whilst improving their confidence and self-esteem through positive social interaction.

“This extensive programme has been designed, and will be managed, to ensure all the necessary Covid-19 safety protocols are in place to keep everyone safe, while allowing all participants to still have that most important thing during the summer holiday’s – fun.  I wish everyone taking part an active, enjoyable and memorable summer”.

Parents say good bye to ‘I’m bored’ this summer and get ready to sign our kids up to some serious fun and – shake up your summer plans with Get Active ABC.
