Earlier this month, Lurgan Park came alive with colour, music and flavour during the celebration of Culture in the Park. The event brought over 1,000 people together to celebrate culture, connect with others and contribute to a joyful, family-friendly day in the heart of the borough.
Some incredible local talent, including Strings and Sings, pupils from St Ronan’s College, the Markethill Ulster-Scots Highland Dancers, and the Co. Armagh Junior Drum Majors all took part and brought something truly special to the day.
While so many groups, schools and individuals were able to take part in this event, we know that there are many more in the borough who haven’t had a chance to get involved – yet!
That’s why Community Development at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council wants to connect with even more local schools, groups and individuals who could help us explore future community and cultural events like Culture in the Park.
So, whether your school has some serious musical muscle, or you’re part of a local group of performers, dancers, musicians, storytellers, artists or something entirely unique, we’d love to hear from you!
