Council staff honoured at Long Service Awards

Twelve members of staff from Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council who together have delivered more than 300 years of service were honoured at a special recognition event held in the Palace, Armagh this month.

The event was hosted by the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Margaret Tinsley and attended by some of the awardees and members of the council’s senior management team.

Reflecting various departments and a wide variety of roles within council, nine members of staff were recognised for 25 years’ service and three members of staff for reaching the 40 years’ service mark.

Speaking at the event, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Margaret Tinsley said:

“On behalf of council, I would like to congratulate and pass on my sincere thanks to all council staff that have achieved 25 and 40 years dedicated service this year. Reaching these special milestones is a wonderful accomplishment and an honour so it is only fitting your experience, commitment and loyalty to council and public service is celebrated in this way.”
