Civic Reception for award-winning Dromore and District Angling Club

The Lord Mayor Alderman Margaret Tinsley was delighted to welcome members of the Dromore and District Angling Club to the Palace, Armagh this week to congratulate them on their award-winning season.

Not only hosts of the 2023 Ulster River Championships in April where the Club bagged five of the top six places and first place going to Mark Sloan, they also hosted the 2023 National River Championships in June, which saw Club member Andrew Sloan named overall winner.

The Lord Mayor was accompanied by Lagan River Councillors, Alderman Paul Rankin, and Councillor Kyle Savage on the evening, which was spent learning a little more about this sporting community and the thriving Dromore and District Angling Club that now has around 120 members.

Congratulations to all!
