A series of information sessions will be held in public venues across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon (ABC) Borough, to offer advice and guidance ahead of changes to bin collections.
Residents across the borough are being advised that their bin collection days may change from week commencing Monday 26 October 2026.
The changes form part of a borough-wide route optimisation programme to help deliver a more efficient, reliable and cost-effective waste collection service that continues to meet the needs of a growing community.
Black, green and brown bins will continue to be collected on a fortnightly basis. The main change for affected households will be the day their bins are collected.
Information leaflets containing each household’s new collection schedule and a six-month calendar are being delivered to over 91,000 homes. Householders are asked to read the information carefully and keep the leaflet in a safe place.
To help raise awareness of these changes to bin collections and answer any queries from the public, officers from ABC Council’s Recycling Outreach Team are holding information sessions at the following venues:
- Mon 19 Oct, 10am-11am – Banbridge Leisure Centre
- Tue 20 Oct, 10am-11am – Richhill Recreation Centre
- Tue 20 Oct, 11.30am-12.30pm – Orchard Leisure Centre, Armagh
