Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray was delighted to host a Civic Reception to celebrate the arrival of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) to Armagh this week.
Held at the Palace in Armagh, the reception brought guests together to celebrate storytelling in all its forms, while also recognising the city’s rich literary and cultural heritage.
One of the world’s largest literary festivals, JLF opened in Belfast last week before making its way to Armagh on 26 and 27 May, bringing with it an inspiring programme of music and conversation to our city.
The varied series of events included a concert of musical dialogue centred around the ancient Indian and local traditions as well as an immersive sound healing music workshop and engaging ‘in conversation with’ sessions.
What a fantastic couple of days celebrating literature in Armagh, thanks for stopping by JLF.
