Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is launching a new series of free Retail and Business Support Workshops to help local businesses grow, innovate, and create memorable customer experiences.
The sessions, suitable for businesses of all sizes from start-ups to established SMEs, will provide practical advice, expert guidance, and valuable networking opportunities across the borough.
In November, the first workshop will welcome renowned retail and customer experience expert Mags McAlpin, founder of Creating Retail Magic. With over 20 years’ experience working with leading high street brands, independent retailers and tourism destinations across the UK and Ireland, Mags is passionate about helping local businesses flourish. A Fellow of the British Display Society and experienced visual merchandising trainer, she will lead an inspiring and practical masterclass packed with creative ideas to attract customers, boost sales and create memorable in-store moments.
A deeper-dive merchandising masterclass is planned for January, offering practical tips on store layout and boosting engagement. Future sessions will cover topics from fraud prevention to social media strategies and funding opportunities.
Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Stephen Moutray, said: “Supporting our local businesses is a top priority for the council. These workshops will give retailers the tools and advice they need to thrive, especially during the busy festive season. I would encourage every local business to get involved and take advantage of this opportunity.”
