Tourism and hospitality businesses offered training for social media success

Tourism and hospitality businesses across the borough are being offered an exciting opportunity to enhance their online presence thanks to a free six week social media training programme delivered by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Tourism team

The programme takes place on Tuesday 9, 16, 23, 30 March and Tuesday 13 and 20 April from 2 – 4.30pm daily and will be led by marketing specialist Emma Gribben from Digital by Emma.

This training is geared towards beginners and those with little social media experience. It is advisable to complete all sessions to gain the most benefit. Each week a short homework task will be given to enhance the course and help ensure you make the most out of the classes.

The course content is as follows:

Week 1, 9 March: Introduction to Facebook for Tourism and Hospitality Businesses

Week 2 16 March: Intermediate Facebook for Tourism and Hospitality Businesses

Week 3 23 March: Getting Started with Twitter for Tourism and Hospitality Businesses

Week 4 30 March: Using Canva for Tourism and Hospitality Businesses

Week 5 13 April: Introduction to Instagram for Tourism and Hospitality Businesses

Week 6 20 April: Intermediate Instagram for Tourism and Hospitality

Once you have signed up for the course course and your space has been confirmed a link will be provided in advance of the first session. Spaces on the course are limited and open to tourism and hospitality businesses in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area

Each participant will need access to a smart phone for practical demonstrations. This workshop is suitable for both android and iPhone.
