A major resurfacing project has been completed at Maghery Country Park to enhance visitor experience at the popular lough shore amenity.
The improvement works were carried out by Gibson Bros Ltd on behalf of FP McCann with investment of approximately £180,000 funded by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (ABC) Borough Council.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Jessica Johnston joined local councillors, council officers and the contractors on a visit to the newly resurfaced park.
She said: “As a Council, it’s important that we invest in our outdoor facilities to encourage as many people as possible to come along to wonderful places like Maghery Country Park, where you can take in the fantastic views of the lough and enjoy the huge array of wildlife along the shores of Lough Neagh.
“I would like to congratulate the contractors and our council officers on the successful delivery of this project.”

Maghery Country Park covers an area of 30 acres comprising 5km of woodland walks and picnic areas in natural surroundings. The Park is excellent for birdwatching, fishing and walking.
