The Deputy Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Councillor Jessica Johnston is gearing up to host a day of spinning all in aid of local charity, Pretty ‘n Pink.
Taking place on Friday 19 September at South Lake Leisure Centre, the pedalling will start at 9am and will continue to 9pm, with slots being allocated on a 30-minute basis. The event is open to everyone – whether you’re cycling or cheering on the participants – so come along and help us pedal our way to making a difference.
Speaking about the charity event, Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Jessica Johnston said:
“I’m looking forward to hosting a 12-hour spinathon to raise vital funds for Pretty ‘n Pink – Northern Ireland’s largest breast cancer charity.
“Over the past few months, my family has directly seen the positive impact that Pretty ‘n Pink has on those diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. The charity’s support – be it emotional, financial or simply guiding someone through what is likely to be one of the most difficult times of their lives – is so crucial.
“With an office based in Portadown and working closely with Craigavon Area Hospital, Pretty ‘n Pink’s staff and volunteers have supported so many individuals with a breast cancer diagnosis in our local area, so I want to give something back to them for all the vital work they do.
“Please join me if you can and give generously on Friday 19 September at South Lake Leisure Centre.”
Members of the public can book 30-minute cycling slots in advance by emailing , but walk-ins are also welcome. All proceeds and donations collected on the day will go directly to Pretty ‘n Pink.
