Culture in the Park
Culture in the Park is an inclusive, family friendly outdoor event, celebrating the cultural heritage and diversity of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon borough through music, dance and performance. Suitable for people of all ages to enjoy, a mix of professional and amateur acts will set the stage alight and open the door to sounds and experiences that everyone can share together.
This is a Free outdoor event set in the beautiful surrounds of Lurgan Park. As well as music and dance, there will be fun activities, artisan markets, cultural cooking demonstrations and a variety of vendors selling delicious food to keep everyone’s energy levels up!
This event will be delivered by the Community Development and Good Relations Team and is funded by TBUC under the District Council Good Relations Programme.

FLOURISH Project Ulster Scots and Irish Language Workshop
Venue: The Marketplace Theatre, Armagh
Date: Friday 11th September, 6pm – 9pm, refreshments will be provided.
Join us to explore languages and their associated cultures between Ulster and Scotland as part of the FLOURISH (Framing the Legacy of our Irish and Scottish Heritage) project. In this first workshop, we will focus on the Irish language, Ulster Scots, Scottish Gaelic and Scots language.
FLOURISH is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes body (SEUPB). It is being funded through the Building Positive Relations Investment Area of PEACEPLUS.

Have you ever wanted to try some Bollywood dance steps? This is your chance to Dance with Deepika! Workshops are suitable for ages 12 – 50 years. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Thai Cooking and Culture with Thai Arts NI –
Led by a Thai chef, participants will learn how to prepare three authentic Thai recipes using traditional ingredients and techniques. Throughout the session, the chef shares personal insights into Thai culture, food traditions, family life, and daily living in Thailand, helping to place the cooking experience within a wider cultural context. Have you ever wished you could master the Xen of Chinese brushwork? Renowned, local Artist Paul King will start you on your journey. Workshops suitable for 14 years + (Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult).
