Today (Monday 1 June) marked the final engagement of Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray, as he completed his last day in office by presenting cheques totalling an amazing £22,000 – with £11,000 awarded to each of his chosen charities, Epilepsy Action NI and Evora Hospice Care (formerly Southern Area Hospice Services).

The money raised over the past 12 months will go a long way in helping Epilepsy Action NI and Evora Hospice Care continue their incredible work supporting local individuals and families when they need it most.

Speaking after the cheque handover, Lord Mayor Alderman Moutray said:

“I want to sincerely thank everyone who donated, supported events and got behind my fundraising efforts over the past year – your kindness and generosity have made all of this possible and will make a real difference to these two fantastic charities.”

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Lord Mayor throughout his term and helped make this possible.”
