Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Jessica Johnston has raised more than £5,500 for local breast cancer charities as she prepares to bring her term in office to a close.
Through a series of fundraising events across the borough, Councillor Jessica Johnston has supported organisations making a real difference to those affected by breast cancer.
A cheque for £3,000 was presented to Pretty ‘n Pink, Northern Ireland’s breast cancer charity, while Knitted Knockers received £2,575 in support of their work providing handmade prosthetics and comfort products for breast cancer survivors.
Deputy Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Jessica Johnston said:
“I am incredibly proud to support two charities that make such a meaningful difference to the lives of so many women and families across Northern Ireland. I want to sincerely thank everyone who donated and helped make this possible.
“Breast cancer impacts countless families and these charities offer compassion, care and practical support at some of the most difficult times in people’s lives. I hope these donations will help continue their incredible work and remind those affected that they are not alone.”
A fantastic achievement as she rounds off her time in office!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Deputy Lord Mayor in her fundraising efforts.
