Lurgan Park Photography Competition

Calling all budding photographers….

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are once again running an exciting photographic competition and is encouraging all amateur photographers across the Borough to get snapping and submit their best creative pictures of Lurgan Park.

With outstanding landscapes and fascinating wildlife, Lurgan Park is perfect place to secure some fantastic photos.  There are three categories in the competition – Wildlife, Park Life (for example people having fun in the Park) and landscape and there is a maximum of 5 entries per person.

All photos will be showcased at an exhibition in the Parks’ Bowling Pavilion in November and the winners of each of the categories will have their photographs mounted and framed before their photos are returned to them after the exhibition.

In addition, Staff at Lurgan Park will use some of the pictures to develop a 2017 calendar which will showcase all the beautiful and interesting aspects of the Park.

Leanne McShane, Parks Development Officer, comments; “Thousands of people visit the Park every week and we would love to see photos of what they enjoy most about the area.  There is so much good material to photograph here and we can’t wait to see the entries!”

All photos should be taken between now and October.  They should have the date the photo was taken on the back and include the name of the entrant, address and/or e-mail on the back.  Photographs should be 8 x 6 size only and the closing date is 14th October.  Amateur photographers only.

For entry forms and/or further information please contact Leanne McShane on 077667 40427.  Alternatively, call in to Lurgan Park Pavilion.
