Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Councillor Kevin Savage, has welcomed the announcement for the reopening of all non-essential goods retailers on Friday 12 June.
“This has been an incredibly hard and difficult time for businesses right across our borough. The re-opening of the goods retail sector is a vital step forward for our city, town centres and villages and I very much welcome this announcement.
Open for business this Friday, our retailers will be delighted to welcome customers back through their doors and as recovery starts to progress I strongly urge people to stay local and shop local to support the economic revival of our borough.
Our retailers are working extremely hard to ensure the safety of staff and customers while putting measures in place to minimise risks. As a council, we are here to support and provide advice to our local business community and I encourage businesses to contact the council for any assistance.”
