LORD Mayor Mealla Campbell has been overwhelmed by the success from her charity fashion show ‘Fashion & Fizz’ held at a jam-packed Armagh City Hotel last Saturday night (7 March).

Fashion stylist Rebecca McKinney hosted the charity spectacle showcasing over 20 local boutiques and retail stores from across Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon.

Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Mealla Campbell said,

“I am truly overwhelmed by the success of Fashion and Fizz and this is simply down to the incredible support from everyone.  I cannot thank everyone enough, from those who attended on the night and generously donated to my amazing chosen charities to our fabulous retailers who put on a fantastic display, showcasing their spring and summer styles – our borough is a fantastic place to shop and we have so much right on our doorstep.

“I want to thank all the businesses for their incredible support, we had amazing prizes for the luxury raffle, in-kind support and donated products for the fantastic goodie bags.

“To our fabulous hostess Rebecca McKinney, the opening spectacle from Spotlight Dance Studio really set the scene for a great evening, our catwalk star models Kate Grant, Mr Northern Ireland Adam Steenson and Paddy McGurgan for his tips and tricks on makeup and keeping us entertained.

“For all the hard work behind the scenes and in the lead up to the event, my thanks to Denise Curran for styling the looks and working with the retailers, and to my team from council for organising one of the highlights of my year.

“I cannot thank everyone enough; it was a fantastic night not only to raise funds for my charities but to highlight our fabulous borough as a place to shop and do business.”

All proceeds raised in support of local charities Armagh Support Group for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, Inspire Mental Health and Katie Roses Journey.
