Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Gareth Wilson hosted a special reception for Richhill District Twelfth July Organising Committee.
Alderman Wilson held the reception to acknowledge what he called “a tremendous effort” by all involved in the organisation of the village Twelfth July celebrations.
He stated, “It was a privilege to have the Brethren from the committee over to the Palace to simply acknowledge the tremendous effort they put in to organising what was a fantastic Twelfth of July in Richhill village.”
He said, “The team put in a massive effort over many months in preparing for the celebrations and everyone I spoke to in the village really enjoyed the day. Thousands of people packed in to watch the parade and it was such a huge and colourful event in the Borough.”
He concluded, “Everything came together on the day to make for a very memorial occasion for all and I wish the Brethren well for the future.”
