Now that the darker nights are drawing in from 5pm, Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) are encouraging the public to think about their home safety and to consider using timer switches if they are not home until after dark.
Timer switches can be used to switch lights on and off to make it look like your home is occupied to help deter possible burglaries, but also to ensure you are coming home to a well-lit home. Timer switches can also be used to turn on radios or audio systems.
To lend a hand the PCSP are giving out a limited number of timer switches to members of the public on Friday 18th November at Craigavon Civic Centre between 10am and noon and 2pm and 4pm. This will be on a first come first served basis.
