We are over half way through NI Year of Food & Drink 2016 and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is committed to making the most of this unique opportunity to celebrate local produce.

We are delighted to be able to offer local producers from the Food Heartland an exclusive opportunity to showcase at the first ever BBC Good Food Show in Northern Ireland; a unique platform to engage with, inspire and influence the most discerning food enthusiasts.

The show will take place in the Waterfront, Belfast from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 October.  Expected to attract over 12,000 food enthusiasts this is a major event in Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink.

Council has reserved four shell scheme 2m x 2m stands in NI Year of Food and Drink area of Hall 2 for local producers from the Food Heartland to showcase and sell their produce over the following days:

Friday, 14 October 10am – 6pm E10, E12, E14, E16
Saturday, 15 October 10am – 6pm E10, E12, E14, E16
Sunday, 16 October 10am – 5pm E10, E12, E14, E16

This initiative will enable a maximum of 12 producers to showcase for one day each.  Please note, priority will be given to small artisan and speciality producers and those with awards (Great Taste Awards and Blas na hEireann (Irish Food Awards).

All exhibition costs are heavily subsidised by council, as such we are able to offer this opportunity at a discounted rate of £100 per day, per producer.

Following this date, Council Officers will work with Environmental Health and Food NI to ensure there is a good spread of high-quality businesses located throughout the borough and a variety of different products showcased. The Council will also liaise with each participant to ensure all relevant paperwork is in place.

As places are limited to 12 unfortunately it will not be possible to accommodate every applicant.  However, if this is the case we will let you know and keep you informed about other opportunities as they arise throughout the year.
