Edenderry Junior Orange visit Craigavon Civic Centre

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council, Alderman Gareth Wilson has hosted members of Edenderry Junior Orange Lodge at a reception in Craigavon Civic Centre.

The Junior Lodge visit was proposed by Cllr. Margaret Tinsley who also attended the reception along with a full turn out of Junior Lodge members and their Superintendents.

Alderman Wilson said, “It was fantastic to welcome members of the Edenderry Junior Orange to our Civic building in Craigavon and it must be said the boys are a real credit to Portadown and of course to the Orange Order.”

He added, “I want to thank Cllr. Tinsley for making the preparations for the visit to take place and it was great to be able to have the Junior members see around the Council Chamber. The boys enjoyed taking their seats in the chamber and we had great fun taking questions from all the members on a wide variety of topics including why I got into politics, what’s great about Portadown and if I am going to hold another Cars and Coffee event!”

He concluded, “The Junior Lodge members are a great organisation and the boys meet regularly in the town and hold many events and outings over the year. I wish them all well for 2018 and for the various parades and events they will organise and take part in throughout the season.”
