Tandra Tea Coffee House is a new venture dishing up delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon treats and refreshments. Located in the Arcade on Tandragee’s Market Street, the café, which is run by daughter and mother team Lynsey and Carol Davidson, are delighted to be part of the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Boost our Borough campaign.

Tandra Tea first opened its doors in February 2020 as a progression from a successful home baking business. The café was the realisation of a dream for Lynsey, who with the support of her mother found the perfect location within the Co. Armagh village, however only five weeks after opening to the public the new business was struck a devastating blow due to Covid-19. After all the hard work and endless hours of preparation the café had to go into lockdown.

Although the doors were closed Lynsey and her mother were determined to adapt to the situation and reverted to their home baking business offering a delivery service providing scones, traybakes, desserts, and their special adult and kids afternoon tea boxes.

As lockdown measures ease Tandra Tea Coffee House can once again welcome customers into their premises thanks to the introduction of table service, social distancing seating, protection screens, hand sanitizing stations and enhanced regular cleaning. A full take away menu is also available.

Tandra Tea Coffee House is one of a growing number of local businesses who have signed up to the council’s Boost our Borough campaign which offers special discounts to customers to encourage them to shop local to save local.

Speaking about their involvement in Boost our Borough, Lynsey said. “I felt it was important to get involved with the campaign as not only is it a great way to spread the word about Tandra Tea Coffee House and put Tandragee on the map, it is also a perfect platform to promote small, local, independent businesses.

By offering customers a 10% discount when they produce their BoB card, which can be picked up from the café, we are playing our part to help ensure people support their local economy at a time when it has never been so important.

We are delighted to reopen to the public and see so many of our regular customers visit us once again and we look forward to welcoming many new faces thanks to Bob and the Boost our Borough campaign”

Tandra Tea Coffee House is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9am to 3.30pm daily located at The Arcade, 24B Market Street, Tandragee. Find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/tandrateacoffeehouse/
