Lord Mayor, Alderman Gareth Wilson hosted a reception in Banbridge Civic Building for members of Banbridge Musical Society which was awarded Overall Third Place Best Show in Ireland for their production of Little Shop of Horrors, included are Alderman Elizabeth Ingram, Alderman Jim Speers, Councillor Declan McAlinden, Chairman of Leisure & Community Services and Carla Lockhart MLA.
Alderman Wilson said, “This was fantastic evening and it was great to be able to recognise the achievements of this organisation under the direction of the Chairperson Rosemary Kelly.”
He added, “Their enthusiasm is so evident and overall they have performed brilliantly with the awards they have won. They have just finished running ‘Seussical The Musical’, which was in the IMC Theatre in Banbridge from November 15 and there was no better time to recognise their hard work and dedication. I wish them well for their next production of Evita in March and thank them sincerely for contributing so much to the life of the Borough.”
