An Armagh welcome for the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra

Lord Mayor, Councillor Garath Keating, pictured, welcomes representatives from the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra from the USA to Armagh. The Annapolis, Maryland based orchestra provides young musicians aged up to eighteen years with comprehensive musical and orchestral training under the leadership of professional conductors. The orchestra are currently touring Ireland and performed a programme of works by Schubert, Dvorak and a world premiere by Irish composer Finola Merivale in St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral on Thursday 30 June.
