We collect grey bins from every household within the former Armagh City and District Council area. They are used for general waste that isn’t suitable for recycling.
What can I put in my grey bin?
You can minimise your waste by separating some of your rubbish into your blue/black kerbside recycling box, or your brown bin. You can put general household non-recyclable waste in your grey bin.
Collection dates and times
If you only have a grey bin it will be collected on a fortnightly rota.
To find out when your bin is due to be collected, check your calendar here, call us on 028 3752 9624 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Don’t forget to always leave your bin out by 7.30 am and return your bin to your property as soon as possible after collection.
On Public and Bank Holidays including Christmas and New Year, collection dates and times may vary.
Check here for holiday bin collection dates.
Order a Grey Bin
Grey bins are available in two sizes – 120 litre and 240 litre (standard size). You can order a bin – call us on 028 3752 9624 or alternatively you can call at your nearest Recycling Centre to purchase a bin.
If you live in rented accommodation, your landlord should provide you with a bin. If you are a Northern Ireland Housing Executive tenant, you should let them know that you need a bin so they can place the order on your behalf.
